PV Solar Design Engineer F/H

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated solar expert to join our team in Athens. To work in delivering professional design and engineering services throughout all regions within Greece. The position is a full-time position reporting to the team’s Project Manager. This is an opportunity to work in people-centric a multinational company, respecting work-life balance and quality of employee life! Joining our team, the selected candidate will have the chance of being involved in high visibility projects, work with the multinational partners of the Greek subsidiary of Vinci Energies its affiliates and sister companies. Will also have the chance to be further educated and provided vocational trainings. 

Responsibilities

Primary

Generating engineering design for PV solar plants (from Land Installed to Building Integrated and from Utility Scale to small scale) for preliminary, implementation and construction phases. Including generation and/or review and/or evaluation of
Equipment layouts for PV, Inverter, Mounting Structures, Cables, Substations etc.
Electrical Drawings for DC and AC Low Voltage, Electrical Boards etc.
Mechanical Drawings for Cable trays, Shelters, Mounting Equipment etc.
Energy yield estimation (with simulation software mainly PV SYST)
Performing engineering review audits on project sites
Evaluation and review of equipment and materials through documentation (datasheets, manuals, certifications etc.)
Handle communication regarding technical issues with equipment and materials with vendors, suppliers (clarifications, approvals, documentation etc.)
Generation of reports, and relevant administrative documents


Secondary

Construction planning support regarding time scheduling and construction sequence,
Construction support to the Site Managing Personnel (update drawings, design solutions, supportive documentation)
Commissioning undertaking and/or support to the Site Managing Personnel (supportive documentation)
New projects tender preparation support in 
Administrative Documents Review and assessment,
Technical Documents review and assessment,
Request for quotations preparation support by
Generating documents, 
Archiving and
Comparison and Evaluation of received offers.


Hard Skills

Electrical Engineer (preferable), Mechanical Engineer (also acceptable) with proven electrical design experience - (Required)
Language skills:
English fluent - (Required)
French any level - (Considered an asset)
Valid driving License.
5+ years of experience in construction engineering design - (Required) 
with 3 years in the designing of PV Plants - (Preferred)
Knowledge and experience with PV Solar plants’ equipment and systems - (Required)
Experience in technical due diligence processes which may include but is not limited to site assessment, system design, energy estimates, equipment selection, contracts technical review - (Required)
Design and Simulation Software user experience and general understanding - (Required)
Proficient user of MS Office Suite - (Required)
Proficient user of CAD Software in 2D (Autodesk Suite) - (Required)
Proficient user of Energy Simulation Software Priority to PvSyst. Similar software - (Required)
Beginner to Intermediate user of 3D CAD Software (Autodesk Suite, Sketchup, etc) - (Considered an Asset) 
Beginner to Intermediate user of 3D Design Energy Simulation Software - (Considered an Asset)
SCADA experience for monitoring and remote controlling of PV plants - (Considered an asset)
Experience in working with Substation design - (Considered an asset)
Working knowledge of solar PV related regulations, codes and standards; Experience with IEC and other relevant certifications in the industry - (Considered an asset)
Familiar with Project Acceptance tests and commissioning procedures (Equipment test data review),as well as with typical equipment for site inspections (thermographic cameras, I-V curve tracers) - (Considered an asset)
