V.I.E. - Circular Economy Project Manager - Germany F/H

We need you to do so! That’s why we are looking for a Circular Economy Project Manager V.I.E. (F/M) who will play a key role in developing and optimizing our recycling activities in Germany.

What can you expect as a Circular Economy Project Manager @Vinci Construction Deutschland?

As a Circular Economy Project Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our commitment to sustainability and will manage strategic projects with a great deal of autonomy.

Your responsibilities will include:
Analyzing resources and local opportunities:

  • Identify construction surplus and deconstruction materials that can be recycled.
  • Assess the potential for material recovery based on the available resources in the Berlin and Northeast Germany regions.

Developing and optimizing recycling channels:

  • Map and structure existing waste evacuation and recovery channels.
  • Propose innovative solutions to maximize process efficiency, reduce non-recycled waste, and improve environmental impact.

Project management and action monitoring:

  • Implement monitoring tools to measure the performance of recovery solutions.
  • Prepare and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders to present progress and gather feedback.

Fieldwork and collaboration:

  • Work closely with operational teams and local partners to implement solutions on the ground.
  • Regularly travel across the region to directly oversee projects and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.

Supporting the environmental transition:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of waste recovery practices, aligning your actions with the company’s sustainability goals.
  • Be a driving force in developing initiatives to optimize the entire recycling value chain.

Exploring new commercial opportunities:

  • Identify and develop new markets for recycled materials by building strategic partnerships with clients and local stakeholders.
  • Design a commercial strategy to expand opportunities and ensure the sustainability of recycling activities.

Here are a few tips. According to our hiring manager, you’ll be a great fit if: 

  • You have an educational background in Engineering or Environmental Sciences: A foundation in civil engineering, materials science, or environmental fields ensures you can grasp the technical aspects of recycling and resource optimization
  • You have a first experience in Project Management or Business Development: Practical experience will help you manage complex initiatives, drive results, and ensure smooth execution of the mission.
  • You are drawn to business matters, and rely on business insight to spot opportunities and forge partnerships is essential for opening new markets for recycled materials.
  • Your analytical mindset will help you drive the identification of inefficiencies in recycling processes and innovation in solutions, while your strong communication skills will be key for presenting ideas and building stakeholder relationships.
  • Adaptability and autonomy are crucial in managing dynamic, field-based roles, as is a proactive and hands on approach to foster direct engagement and drive changes.
  • Your everyday life will be in German: as such, you need to feel confident enough about your German level, in terms of writing but also speaking.
  • You have your driving license to help you navigate between the different sites and projects you’ll be supporting. 

Quick Reminder about the V.I.E. program:

The V.I.E. program requires you to:

  • Be a European citizen aged between 18 and 28 on the date of registration, whatever training level.
  • Be a graduate student, with a fluent level in German
  • Have never done any V.I.E. in the past.
  • Not have worked previously in the host country.
