Menard is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced geotechnical engineer to take a leading role in a major marine project in the city of Genoa, Italy.

The candidate:

The candidate will contribute and oversee day-to day management of the project operations and quality control system of the project to ensure project objectives are reached.

Experience on geotechnical and / or marine projects would be beneficial

Duties:

• Assist in the day to day management of the project to ensure the smooth operation and organisation of project
• Oversee and compile project records including but not limited to quality, safety, financial and technical aspects.
• Cooperate and coordinate with the client to ensure efficient flow of reporting and information necessary.
• Reviewing the engineering tasks and initiating the necessary corrective actions.
• Oversee and liaise with administrative staff to ensure the day to day running of the project

Menard est à la recherche d'un ingénieur géotechnique enthousiaste et expérimenté pour jouer un rôle de premier plan dans un projet maritime majeur dans la ville de Gênes, en Italie.

Le candidat :

Le candidat contribuera et supervisera la gestion quotidienne des opérations du projet et du système de contrôle de la qualité du projet afin de s'assurer que les objectifs du projet sont atteints.

Une expérience dans les projets géotechniques et/ou maritimes serait bénéfique.

Tâches :

• Participer à la gestion quotidienne du projet afin d'assurer le bon fonctionnement et l'organisation du projet.
• Superviser et compiler les dossiers du projet, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, les aspects qualitatifs, sécuritaires, financiers et techniques.
• Coopérer et coordonner avec le client pour assurer un flux efficace de rapports et d'informations nécessaires.
• Examiner les tâches d'ingénierie et initier les actions correctives nécessaires.
• Superviser le personnel administratif et assurer la liaison avec lui pour garantir le fonctionnement quotidien du projet.

• Degree qualified within a relevant discipline
• 5 years experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of geotechnical design from first principles including but not limited to ground improvement, foundations, retaining structures and slope stability assessments
• Excellent people management skills and ability to work within a team effectively
• Excellent time management, organisational, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail is required
• Knowledge of management, procurement, supervision and interpretation of ground investigations
• Ability to work on own initiative and collaborate when necessary
• Knowledge of geotechnical software such as Plaxis beneficial
• Fluent Italian, fluent English and / or French

• Diplôme universitaire dans une discipline pertinente
• 5 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire
• Bonne compréhension de la conception géotechnique à partir des premiers principes, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, l'amélioration du sol, les fondations, les structures de soutènement et les évaluations de la stabilité des pentes.
• Excellentes compétences en gestion du personnel et capacité à travailler efficacement au sein d'une équipe.
• Excellentes aptitudes à la gestion du temps, à l'organisation, à la communication orale/écrite, à la pensée critique et au souci du détail.
• Connaissance de la gestion, de l'approvisionnement, de la supervision et de l'interprétation des études de sol.
• Capacité à travailler de sa propre initiative et à collaborer si nécessaire
• Connaissance de logiciels géotechniques tels que Plaxis.
• Maîtrise de l'italien, de l'anglais et/ou du français
