Civil Engineer (undergraduate placement)

You will make an active contribution in all aspects of the role of a site engineer in a highly technical civils environment
You will have the opportunity to learn under the direction of experienced resident engineers and/or Project Managers

Key tasks you will get involved with:
- Supporting the Site Engineer/Project Manager to plan and deliver project tasks and outcomes in accordance with schedule
- Reviewing of plans and drawings under the guidance of the Project Manager
- Completing routine engineering tasks including take offs after the project handover
- Ordering of materials and equipment, in accordance with the project specification and engineering details
- Assisting with drafting:
Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS)
Inspection and Test Plan (ITPs)
NCRs and follow close out of corrective actions
Material approval request (MARs)
QSE Documents
- Setting out of works
- Compilation of site records:
Allocation Sheets/Site diaries
Plant & Labour Returns
As-Built Drawing Mark Ups
Production Schedules
Quality Documents
- Assisting with weekly site safety inspections
The roles will suit applicants who are currently studying either a Civil Engineering or combined Mechanical and Civil Engineering (BEng or Meng) qualification
You will need to be based in a commutable location for the project you are assigned to, or be willing to be mobile/work away from home if necessary
