The Role
Freyssinet Australia is seeking the services of a highly qualified, competent and experienced Manager to manage our coating activity on the east coast. Reporting to the National Remedial Manager, this position is based in Sydney and provides support to our Business Development Managers but also involves setting up projects with adequate resources and equipment. Part of your role will also require ongoing support of those projects until completion.

Key Deliverables

• Lead by example and ensure safety culture
• Tendering and precontract support
• Workforce planning, training and talent acquisition to ensure staffing requirements are met.
• Collaboration with business development to scope and win projects.
• Set the standards for safety, monitor performance and ensuring good safety practices are adopted for all projects.
• Strong client relationships to ensure expectations are defined and understood by all parties.
• Champion and promote additional services, products and services for clients.
• Support innovation and technology.
• Engage with peers across the business to share best practice and connect people.
• Establish and manage the required arrangements with sub contractors and equipment providers.
• Review monthly cost, forecast and other KPIs and report to management.
• Ensure all projects are performed and closed out in accordance with established standards. 

Skills/ Experience

• Strong attitude towards safety
• Trade Qualification - Cert III Painting
• Extensive supervisory experience
• QA/ QC Documentation experience
• Scoping and setting up work fronts
• A Minimum of five (10) years’ experience in the Blasting and Protective Coating industry
• Reading, interpreting and correctly executing project specifications
• NACE Qualifications
• The ability to communicate effectively with clients and senior managers
• Short term mobility
• Good notion of cost control and forecasting
