V.I.E Finance (Controlling, Financial Planning and Financing) F/H

Job purpose:

Since early 2018, VINCI Airports has operated Salvador Airport (7.9 million passengers in 2019). Salvador is the 4rd largest Brazilian city after São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia. This airport has been recognized by Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) as "Brazil's most sustainable aerodrome “ in 2019 and 2020.

Early April 2021, VINCI Airports was awarded a 30-year concession for seven airports of the North region of Brazil, including Manaus (4.7 million passengers in 2019).

The finance administration of these 8 airports portfolio (Salvador, Manaus, Porto Velho, Rio Branco, Boa Vista, Cruzeiro do Sul, Tabatinga and Téfé) will be mainly managed from Salvador.

Following this acquisition, VINCI Airports and the local CFO look for a Junior Finance Manager to support locally the CFO.

The VIE will report to the CFO (VINCI expatriate, based in Salvador de Bahia – Brazil).

The direct reporting to the CFO will be a unique opportunity for the VIE to learn about the various financial functions in the concessions business (Structured Finance, Controlling, Financial Planning, Accounting,…) and to develop his/her financial and soft skills.   

Duties & responsibilities:

The main functions of the VIE will be:

§  Financial Planning:

o   leading the implementation of the Operating Financial model for these 7 new airports (support of an external party to develop the model when/where appropriate); and

o   Contributing to the short-term forecast (annual budget and its updates) and long-term forecast (Business-plan);

§  Financing:

o   contributing to the financing structuring alongside the CFO, VINCI Concessions Structured Finance team and Financial Advisor: modelling, negotiations of the financial documentation and conditions, …;

o   managing the debts drawdown, in coordination with the Technical team (construction milestones achievement) and the Lenders (including their technical advisors);

o   ensuring the compliance of the project with the contractual obligations within the financial documentation, including: reporting to the lenders and their advisors (technical, insurances,…), security package monitoring, participation to the negotiation of the project documents (e.g. construction),…;

§  Controlling:

o   Participating to the monthly financial closing and contributing to the explanations of the differences versus budget, in coordination with the various departments (commercial, operations, technical,…) and the finance controlling team;

On top of these main functions, and depending on the workload and capabilities, the VIE will support the CFO on other tasks: Business opportunities analysis, Benchmarking with other VINCI Airports, financial processing optimization, …

-Qualifications in Finance

- Advanced understanding of structured finance is a plus;

- Self-motivated, self-driven, ability to take challenges;

- Creative, curious and pro-active;

- Good communications skills

- Languages:

Business level in English

Portuguese is a plus (not mandatory; wish to learn Portuguese)

V.I.E of 18 months, based in Salvador de Bahia for one year and depending on skills developed during the first 12 months, overseeing the small finance team located in Manaus (Brazil).
