The Role

Substation Electrician's are required by the Omexom Ireland Business Unit to play a key part of our organisational success, ensuring commitments to our customers are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

The job holder will have a consistent track record of project delivery along with demonstrable experience in developing diverse teams. Working in our Substation Business Unit throughout Ireland, with voltages varying from 11kv / 110kv / 220kv on both new build and refurbishment projects, applicants must be highly flexible in respect of day to day work requirements and working away from home.

Reporting to the Project Manager, duties will include, but are not limited to:

Essential criteria:

Must be a time served Electrician
Able to read / work off schematic diagrams with knowledge of control and  protection systems
Experience of installation and termination of SWA (Single Wire Armoured) ---  Multicore and Communications cables
Installation of Substation plant & equipment i.e. transformer assembly, support structures and associated equipment (CT’s,VT’s Busbars Circuit Breakers, Disconnects etc)
Working Knowledge of AC / DC Systems
High level manual dexterity and technical ability with proven experience in panels wiring within the relevant environment
Full clean driving license & proof of eligibility to work in Ireland
