Environment Coordinator VIE F/H
17/03/2025VINCI Airports recently expanded its presence in Latin America by acquiring a majority stake in OMA (Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte), which operates 13 airports across Mexico. This acquisition strengthens VINCI’s commitment to sustainable airport operations, integrating OMA into its global environmental strategy and advancing its sustainability objectives, particularly related to decarbonization, biodiversity, water, and waste management.
The Environment Coordinator VIE will play a key role in supporting the implementation of VINCI Airports' environmental strategy at OMA airports. This position will ensure alignment with the group's decarbonization, water, and waste management objectives while collaborating with local teams to strengthen environmental performance. The role will report to the Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency Manager, who reports to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
Duties and responsabilities:
As the Environment Coordinator the main mission will be:
Support the implementation of VINCI Airports’ environmental policies across OMA airports.
Coordinate with airport teams to drive carbon reduction, water conservation, and waste management initiatives.
Assist in the development of environmental action plans aligned with VINCI Airports’ sustainability commitments.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing and training sessions on best practices in environmental management.
Contribute to OMA airports’ journey towards higher levels of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA), working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
In addition, your specific mission will be to:
Energy & Carbon:
Support the implementation of VINCI Airports’ energy efficiency actions in OMA airports.
Identify and promote initiatives to reduce Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
Assist in tracking and optimizing energy consumption across OMA’s assets.
Waste & Water Management:
Develop and support initiatives to enhance waste segregation and recycling within OMA airports.
Work with local teams to improve water consumption monitoring and efficiency.
Assist in the development of strategies to reduce single-use plastics and enhance circular economy practices.
Environmental Reporting & Compliance:
Play a key role in improving environmental data quality and reporting through DEMETER, VINCI Airports' environmental data management platform.
Ensure OMA airports meet VINCI’s environmental reporting standards and deadlines.
Support the identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) and data accuracy measures
Qualifications:
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of environmental management systems, carbon reduction strategies, and regulatory compliance.
Experience in airport operations, infrastructure, or environmental project coordination is a plus.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in data management and reporting tools.
Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish and/or French are a plus).
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Start date: 05-2025
Location/duration: V.I.E of 18 months (renewable 6 months), based in Mexico city, Mexico.

Required Languages: Fluent English and Spanish (mandatory) – French appreciated
