Seymour Whyte is on the verge of an exciting milestone: securing our first project in Adelaide. As we prepare for this next chapter, we’re seeking an experienced Project Manager with Bid Management expertise to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to be part of our pre-contracts team, driving tenders and EOIs to success, and then stepping into a pivotal role on-site to deliver the project.

About the role:

Bid Management – representing Seymour Whyte in all EOI and tender activities

  • Ensure detailed knowledge of EOIs and tenders are communicated to the team.
  • Oversee and support the coordination of the bid and review of tender deliverables.
  • Lead progress meetings with the Client and with the team.
  • Participate in the review of the estimate.
  • Provide strategic guidance and champion competitive advantage for the bid.
  • Ensure design, methodology, program, and estimate are fully aligned and integrated into the tender submission.
  • Manage and integrate our commercial and contractual response into the submission.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from the tender stage to delivery through effective transfer of knowledge.

Project Management

  • Ensure the bid budget is established and reported against.
  • Report back on the progress of the bid to Regional Managers or Leadership Teams.
  • Participate in discussions with relevant authorities, stakeholders, clients and other third parties.
  • Stakeholder engagement with relevant authorities, clients and other third parties.
  • Manage innovation throughout the tender phase to deliver better outcomes for the client.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years post-graduate experience.
  • Experience in leading teams.
  • Ability to develop and implement budgets and forecasts.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiating skills and business process improvement skills.
  • Forward-looking, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach.
