Supporting one of our key clients we are looking for a Safety Case Engineer to support the Safety Case Manager in the preparation, implementation and maintenance of the Safety Cases for Analytical services and infrastructure for nuclear projects.
Responsibilities
As the Safety Case Engineer, you will also be involved in:
- Ensuring that the safety case is delivered clear and user friendly for all stakeholders.
- Provide high quality safety case advice and documentation for Safety Case development and implementation.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to develop operations schedule, engineering schedule, operator and maintenance instructions and training package.
- Facilitate communications between relevant stakeholders during the verification of safety case.
- Present safety case documents to safety committed.
- Oversee the production and completely of safety case implementation plans.
- Support the delivery of operator briefings regarding safety case change.
- Support engagements with regulatory bodies and other external stakeholders for the associated facility safety case.
Qualification & Experiences
To be considered for the Safety Case Engineer role you should have the following:
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
- Able to understand safety case documentation, engineering drawings, etc.
- Ability to work independently to high standards in compliance with legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures e.g. safety, quality, risk, and security.
- Good analytical thinking and planning skills.
- Self-motivated with a high level of resilience.
- Knowledge of safety case implementation (desirable).
- Experience of regulatory interface (desirable).
- Previous experience in operations, engineering, technical disciplines or in a support team for an operational plant (desirable).
- Knowledge of site licence conditions (desirable).
