Freyssinet Australia is seeking a motivated and ambitious VIE Design Engineer to join our Corrosion & Technical Services Team. This is a unique opportunity for an engineering graduate or early-career professional to gain international experience while working on innovative infrastructure remediation, corrosion protection, and asset preservation projects across Australia.

As part of a global organisation renowned for its expertise in structural remediation and specialist engineering solutions, you will work alongside experienced engineers and industry experts, contributing to the design and delivery of projects that extend the life of critical infrastructure.

About the Role

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will support the design and engineering of corrosion mitigation and asset protection solutions for a diverse range of infrastructure projects. This role offers excellent exposure to technical design, project engineering, site investigations, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and development of corrosion protection and remediation solutions.
Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
Support condition assessments, inspections, and technical investigations of existing structures.
Collaborate with construction, project, and technical teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
Contribute to project planning, methodology development, and technical documentation.
Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and project requirements.
Participate in site visits and inspections as required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical innovation within the business.
About You

Degree qualified in Civil, Structural, Materials, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline.
Eligible for the VIE (Volontariat International en Entreprise) program.
Strong interest in infrastructure durability, structural remediation, corrosion engineering, and asset management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering design software is advantageous.
Enthusiastic, adaptable, and eager to develop an international engineering career.
