MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS
The service holder will be in charge of all the technical activities related to flexible pipes design, manufacturing, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning for the Suriname GPI UFR Package Project Team (‘’Groupe Project Interne’’) during EPCI phases. During the Service execution high focus will be given to the engineering activities in regard to the FLEXIBLE pipe and its challenges. This is a crucial Service in the design, analysis, and implementation of flexible pipe systems, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the Offshore Suriname GPI Project.
ACTIVITIES
  • Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to H3SE, implement H3SE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility and comply with H3SE training requirements for the position.
  • Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and promote and enforce the Anti-Corruption Program in force.
  • Keep up to date of UFR-related Company Rules and Specifications (CR’s/GS’s), international norms and standards, extracting all the applicable requirements for the Suriname UFR package.
  • Identify, implement and manage any flexible engineering studies or surveys requested for Flexible pipe engineering, construction, fabrication, testing, installation
  • Flexible engineering activities will also involve: selecting appropriate materials and configurations to accommodate dynamic movements, pressure, and environmental conditions encountered during offshore operations, making sure the optimization of the design and the performance of flexible components, ensuring reliability, durability, and safety through the project lifecycle.
  • Define, develop, issue and maintain all necessary technical and flexible engineering documentation related to the Suriname UFR package. Support and participate also to the development and maintenance of Project Management main documents (SOR, FDP, PEP, PQP, Risks, etc.) for UFR matters.
  • Ensure that all engineering, flexible and umbilical engineering fabrication, construction, testing, qualification pre-commissioning and commissioning aspects are suitably addressed during the different engineering phases in timely efficient ways. Process reviewing (or having reviewed) and validating the relevant UFR documentation issued by Contractor(s) (technical documentation / queries / derogation requests).
  • Ensure that HSE&Q issues are correctly handled in all UFR technical documentation. Raise subsequently comments, highlight deviations, unacceptable or unjustified design choices that could affect UFR equipment during fabrication, installation, production ...
  • Act, as technical referent vis-à-vis Contractor(s) on Flexible and Umbilical and coordinate with other members of the UFR and SPS Engineering teams
  • Following contract awarded, ensure relevant supervision’sreponsability and fabrication control and testing of all Flexible and Umbilical equipments spread over several fabrication yards,is in place. Ensuring that QA/QC and H3SE project policies and requirements are duly implemented and controlling Contractors’ achievements in accordance with contractual requirements in all areas.
  • Liaise with the other Package teams (FPSO, SPS, etc.) for Interface matters with the support of the Interface Manager / Leader(s).
After contract awarded ensure the supervision and control of:
  • testing follow up and qualification activities (SWT, CDT, FAT, EFAT, SIT, etc) are performed by Contractor(s) efficiently and in timely manners
  • the pre-commissioning, the commissioning of all Flexible and Umbilical equipment and the whole preparation of the offshore installation, including the hand-over of such equipment to other package or Contractor(s) for installations
• Participate to project reviews as requested by the client referential (PR, DER, CSPP...).
• Ensure safe working practices are used within the team along all phases of project
• Ensure adequate and timely reporting to the UFR Manager, consolidation reports, concerns
  and issues.
• Be the technical referent on Flexible and Umbilical matters
• Assist, as requested, the UFR Manager with the relations with Concessionaire / Partners
  regarding UFR technical matters, prepare and participate, as required, to Workshops /
  Committee meetings with Partners and Concessionaire.
• Ensure confidentiality of all the UFR documentation produced (whatever its support)
 • Gather ‘lessons learnt’ and provide feedback to other client entities as required and
   participate to GPI / Project close-out activities / report

CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
The activity takes place in the context of the execution phase of a major project in Suriname. The Suriname GPI is a multidisciplinary team that coordinates the studies managed by the Client OneTech on the Deep and Shallow Water discoveries of offshore Suriname Block 58.
The technical challenges the GPI / Project will face are the reservoir development and management, FPSO, and subsea production/injection system.
The Suriname Team will develop the Project with the objectives of maximizing economic results by optimizing the reserves, and the schedule, reducing the costs and the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission, while maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focusing.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
    • Qualification: High experience and technical expertise in Deep Water / Shallow Water UFR projects
    • Languages: English and French
    • Professional Experience: At least 30 years
    • Experience within a project: At least 20 years
    • Previous experience with a Flexible pipe manufacturer is a plus
