HR Administrator

With you, we are altogether stronger, in building the future we want. We are seeking a HR Administrator to join our team on the Eastern Freeway – Hoddle to Burke Alliance. The primary purpose of this role is to provide day-to-day HR support on the EHBA project while also assisting with core SWC HR functions. This includes coordinating onboarding/offboarding, supporting the smooth delivery of project programs. The role also assists with general HR activities such as employee relations, performance processes, training and development, project coordination- key for ensuring timely completion of the Eastern Freeway – Hoddle to Burke Alliance scheduled for 2028.
About the role:
- Assist with general human resource tasks as directed by your manager.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all new starters, including managing SWAP entries, maintaining the HR Master Tracker, updating the organisational chart, issuing welcome emails, and preparing draft position descriptions.
- Support the offboarding process by ensuring all requirements are completed by the employee and their manager, and that the parent company is notified.
- Coordinate monthly shift allowance requirements for both SWC and JH.
- Provide support with payroll, benefits, and compensation administration
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- 1-3 years’ previous experience in a human resource or administration role
- Knowledge of human resource practices and procedures
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of relevant software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- A general understanding of the technology and systems associated with employee records management
- Ability to build and develop good working relationship
