About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to join our HSEQ team on the Melbourne airport T4 project. The primary objective of this role is to coordinate and mitigate safety risks on site, to assist in the achievement of project objectives, ensure compliance with SW Safety policy and systems and promote a positive safety culture.
- Mentor site personnel to improve workplace health and safety on individual sites.
- Conduct site inspections / audits and provide feedback including associated recommendations to project personnel 5.
- Assess risks and opportunities for improving Safety Management.
- Assist Project Managers in managing workplace health and safety on project sites, including providing timely and relevant advice on all safety related matters.
- Conduct investigations of accidents and incidents were directed and review incident reports. Provide advice to Project Managers and personnel on corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrate a passionate and energetic approach to safety.
- Possess a can-do positive attitude, with a team first approach. Work willingly with others in a collaborative manner.
- Certificate IV qualification in OHS.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.
- Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator Certification
- Certification in First Aid (Basic)
