Accountant
Cegelec Abu Dhabi, is a specialized engineering and contracting business unit focused on electrical, instrumentation, and control systems projects for the Oil & Gas industry. From initial design through to construction and commissioning, Cegelec Abu Dhabi delivers end-to-end solutions tailored to the sector’s technical and operational demands.
Active in Abu Dhabi and the Oil & Gas sector since 1980, Cegelec Abu dhabi has successfully executed a wide range of projects, either directly for ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) subsidiaries or as a specialized subcontractor supporting major contractors.
As an accountant, your main responsibilities will be:
Manage the accounting related tasks of several companies.
Manage suppliers and process vendor invoices.
Manage the day-to-day bank entries and monthly reconciliations.
Initiate and follow salary and supplier payments.
Identify and compile the cost for the accrual file.
Initiate Client invoicing and Debit notes.
Manage of payroll inputs in the payroll system
Process the monthly salary payments.
Prepare the employees final settlements.
Manage Petty Cash and perform Online Bank Payments.
Post monthly cash entries and prepare bank reconciliations.
Assist the Financial Manager with the VAT file.
Process the IN contracts payments.
Coordinate accounting functions and programs.
Prepare financial analyses and reports.
Prepare the Trial Balance for the monthly/quarterly/yearly closings.
Prepare revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Assist with annual audit preparations (schedules, documents)
Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
Provide assistance with the VAT and Corporate Tax accruals and returns.
Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
Perform other accounting duties and support junior staff as required or assigned
Profile
4 to 5 experience with at least 2 years’ experience in the oil and gas or similar industrial sector.
Bachelor degree in accountant
Technical skills:
Working knowledge of UAE tax laws
Strong financial analysis skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and stress management skills.
Ability to work with little to no supervision.
Software:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
