Salary/Rate Banding: Up to £55,000 (Dependant on Experience - we can consider Engineer & Principal applications)

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to support the technical capability of the project. This role will be suited to engineers with experience in Civil design.
Responsibilities Include:
- Technical excellence in the specification, production and assessment of design packages for infrastructure.
- Specification of reliability and operational constraints for infrastructure.
- Assessment of work control procedures for maintenance of infrastructure.
- Assessment of infrastructure design, material state, qualification and ageing mechanisms to permit the continued operation of facilities and utilities.
- Discharge and display a robust safety and security culture.
- Ensure outputs of safety related contracts meet the contract requirements and appropriate safety requirements by acting as an intelligent customer.
To be considered for this position
Essential:
- Experience in the design assessment of reinforced concrete and steelwork structures to withstand dynamic loads including; earthquake motions, blast, wind, rain and snow loading
- Experience working on reinforced concrete and steelwork marine structures and jetties.
- Experience of producing robust technical justification to allow for relevant civil/structural design modifications to be authorised within a high hazard industry
- Apply appropriate theoretical and practical methods to design, develop, manufacture, construct, commission, operate, maintain, decommission and re-cycle engineering processes, systems, services and products in a nuclear/high risk environment
- Use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology
- Civil/Structural Engineering Degree
Desirable:
- Familiarity with safety case development techniques e.g. HAZID/HAZOP studies.
