Senior Project Engineer

As a Senior Project Engineer (Civil) on the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Project, you will play a key role in delivering one of South East Queensland’s most important rail upgrades. This project is about improving safety, capacity and reliability for fast-growing Sunshine Coast communities, and your work on site will directly contribute to infrastructure that will serve the region for decades.
You will take ownership of complex civil construction activities, leading teams, coordinating subcontractors and driving safe, efficient delivery. Working closely with the Project Manager and wider JV team, you will balance program, quality and commercial outcomes while mentoring engineers and setting the standard for how work is delivered on site.
About the role:
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for:
- Leading on-site civil construction activities across allocated scopes
- Driving safety leadership and compliance across all works
- Managing subcontractors, procurement packages and productivity
- Overseeing quality processes including ITPs, lot closures and NCRs
- Supporting program, cost control, progress claims and variations
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) essential
- Strong experience delivering civil infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams
- Solid understanding of safety, quality and environmental systems
- Confident managing programs, costs, claims and variations
