Purpose of the job

A key member of the financial accounting and control function, as part of the wider Finance team, owning and supporting various deliverables.

Reports to

·        Finance Manager (FM)

Key accountabilities

Month End

·        Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations as part of month end process

·        Post month end journals

·         Pension spreadsheet reports & updates

·         Bank reconciliation

·         PAYE/NI/VAT payment files

·         Month end routine/close and reports

Compliance:

·        Support in the production of draft statutory accounts

·        compliance including preparation and submission of quarterly VAT & ONS returns.

Treasury:

·        Supporting generation of Weekly cashflow forecasts

·        Credit Control support.

Taxation:

·        Supporting Corporation Tax computations and analysis.

·        Research and development tax compliance.

·        Reforecast tax calculations

·        Ad hoc overseas tax submissions where required.

Controls

·        Balance sheet forecasting and group reporting.

·        CAPEX and Fixed Assets monthly maintenance ensuring additions and disposals are kept up to date.

Unit 4 / Harmony

·        Expenses upload from Unit 4 to Harmony

·         Weekly timesheet upload from Unit 4 to Harmony

·        Setup of new users.

·        Access control and maintenance

Personal Qualities

Required Technical Competence

·         Professionally qualified/part qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA

·         IFRS experience

·         Weekly cash flow experience

·         Experience of month end accounting and balance sheets

·         Able to produce compliant statutory accounts for audits both internal and external

·         Able to understand and apply taxation regulation.

·         Excellent reporting skills with good attention to detail
