We are seeking experienced Fire & Gas Technicians to join our team in the oil & gas sector. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire and gas detection systems, ensuring the highest standards of reliability and safety across both operational and project environments.

Responsibilites

• nstallation & Commissioning:

  • Install fire and gas detection systems, including sensors, detectors, alarms, and control panels.

  • Assist in commissioning and functional testing of new systems.

• Maintenance & Calibration:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and calibration of fire and gas detection devices.

  • Ensure all equipment operates within manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

• Troubleshooting & Repairs:

  • Diagnose faults in fire and gas systems and carry out corrective actions promptly.

  • Replace defective components and restore systems to operational status.

• Compliance & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.

  • Ensure compliance with refinery safety procedures, international standards (e.g., NFPA, API), and local regulations.

• Safety & Emergency Support:

  • Respond to emergency situations involving fire and gas alarms.

  • Support safety audits and participate in hazard analysis activities.

Profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fire and gas systems within oil & gas or refinery environment.

• Knowledge of fire detection technologies, gas detection principles, and control systems.

• Familiarity with safety standards and hazardous area classifications (ATEX, IECEx).

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
