Regional Manager - Southwest Region

The Regional Manager is responsible for selling and marketing The Reinforced Earth Company products to Owners, Engineers and Contractors, within a specific geographic region. Responsibilities include marketing to clients, building existing client relationships, conducting joint client meetings with the Project Manager and Regional Engineer, product presentations, preliminary design assistance, preparing bid packages, bidding and negotiating contracts, closing sales with favorable terms to RECo, ensuring that all Regional projects return positive results, and managing the day-to-day operation of the Region.

This position can be based in our Mission Viejo, CA or Aurora, CO office.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership at the regional level

Promote good communication, coordination and encourage growth within the office, furthering independence and personal responsibility

Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Region and Administrative Assistant

Present technical presentations to explain our company’s products and services to customers

Generate sales leads from various sources

Work with engineering team to develop accurate cost estimates for project bidding purposes

Prepare proposals and secure project contracts

Coordination of 3rd party vendors/suppliers through Procurement Department

Obtain approval from the CEO and RECo legal department on any non- standard terms for contracts and checking for unfavorable terms to RECo which may result in any potential strain on the division’s and/or corporate resources before executing contracts.

Obtain CEO approval on all bid quotations and contracts over $1m in value.

Maintaining current and accurate reporting in RECo’s ERP/sales system from lead generation to signed contract stage.

Provide collection assistance to Contract Administration and Project Manager on problem accounts over 60 days past due.

Participate with the Operations Manager on dispute resolution

Monitoring and controlling budget and expenditures within Region’s established guidelines and objectives.

Provide a monthly report that details any sales achievements for the Region, accurate forecasting of 90-day forecast, 18-month projections, sales and competitive activities, and an action plan for the upcoming month.

Deliver yearly Revenue Targets as set forth by the company

Deliver NM (Net Margins) Targets as set forth by the company

Responsible to deliver revenue and ASP targets at the plant level

Contribute to the overall financial health of the company

Responsible for a yearly plan to expand the approval of new products, decide on the use and/or marketing of current RECo products in developing new market areas and clients

Attend industry tradeshows, meetings and other events as required


Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction, Engineering or Project Management or a business-related field.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales role or relevant MSE industry experience

Management Experience

Ability to travel frequently, up to 75% of time.

Strong working knowledge of the company's products, competitive products, and the market.

Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
