Sr Procurement Engineer - PLC & Automation

Role Overview:
We are looking for a Procurement Engineer with strong experience in PLC/Industrial Automation procurement. The role involves end-to-end sourcing of automation systems and components, ensuring cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement for project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, drives, motors, panels, field instruments, and automation components

  • Interpret BOMs, technical specifications, and drawings in coordination with engineering teams

  • Manage vendors/OEMs (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Rockwell, etc.) and develop alternate sourcing strategies

  • Prepare RFQs, techno-commercial comparisons, and lead price negotiations

  • Issue and manage Purchase Orders (ERP), track deliveries, and ensure timely material availability

  • Drive cost optimization, supplier performance, and localization initiatives

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Automation

  • Strong exposure to project-based procurement (Manufacturing / EPC / Automation projects)

  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics/ERP systems and import procurement (preferred)
