Communications & Marketing Manager (F/M)

Already present in Brazil as the co-concessionnaire of Entrevias highway in the State of São Paulo, VINCI Highways is expanding its activity in the country as the new concessionaire of the Belo Horizonte-Cristalina highway. Through a 30-year concession contract, VINCI Highways will operate, expand and modernize the highway, with objectives to support the growth of traffic, improve drivers’ experience, bring new services and increase environmental performance. To operate the contract, VINCI Highways is currently setting up a concession company which will be staffed with 650 employees before January 31st 2025. Its administrative offices will be located near Belo Horizonte.

VINCI Highways is seeking an experienced Communications & Marketing Manager (F/M)to set up and lead internal and external communications of the concession company. Corporate-minded, creative, able to develop global strategies covering both institutional and customer communications, he/she will shape, control and enhance the image of the highway and promote the positive impact brought by VINCI Highways.


The role requires strong alignment on the local communication needs with the global corporate objectives of VINCI Highways. The Communications & Marketing Manager will work with the HQ communications team in Nanterre on a daily basis to ensure that the corporate strategy is deployed at the local level.


Key responsibilities :


Strategy: set objectives, develop and execute the annual communications plan, manage budget. Deploy VINCI Highways’ existing guidelines (brand, digital, media, editorial).

Stakeholders relations: support Excom in strategic interactions, prepare meetings.

Messaging: create the narrative strategy.

Branding: lead the development of the new brand & its deployment in all positive contact points.

Media relations: create dynamic newsflow, cultivate relationships. Set up tools & monitoring.

Crisis communications: support Excom in setting all the processes to manage sensitive issues.

Digital: create and animate website, establish social media presence, ensure monitoring.

Marketing: deploy customer relations strategy, manage ombudsman activity, monitor user satisfaction. Make operational excellency a strong message by working in close cooperation with Technical & Ops teams. Support the transition to electronic toll payment.

Works communications: explain and promote the works to regions and drivers, activate specific informative channels to drivers and local citizens.

Partnerships: promote long-term commitment and initiatives through common projects with tourism associations, business associations and communities.

Internal coms: support HR team with recruitment communications. Foster engagement within VINCI Highways within the new team. Cultivate the communications culture and reflexes at all levels of the company. Ensure good coms interface especially with technique and operational teams. Set up employee advocacy programs.


  • +10 years of experience in communications and marketing, preferably within large corporations with international exposure.
  • Full bilingual proficiency in English and Portuguese.
  • Proven experience in managing both institutional and consumer-focused communication.
  • Strong knowledge of the Brazilian media landscape, decision-makers, partners, and relevant events.
  • Experience in the transport and mobility sector is a plus.
  • Experience in international management:capacity to operate local communications within the framework of an international, listed Group.
  • Operational leadership: ability execute coms strategies on time and budget. Involvement in hands-on execution, taking responsibility of the concrete delivery of the com plans. Strong attention to detail.
  • Creativity: experience in innovation and digital transformation.
  • Excellent storytelling ability. Taste for visual and concept creativity
  • Existing local connections: already established network of partners, service providers, media influencers to ensure swift activation of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Resilience and positive mindset: ability to perform under pressure given the nature of a 24/7 highway operation with a vast works program coming ahead. Flexibility and proactive attitude is required, bringing forward proposals and solutions.
  • Confidentiality, political sensitivity.
