Site Lifting Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Assess, analyse, plan, and adjust onshore and offshore lifting operations in alignment with company standards and project requirements.

  • Review and validate lift plans, including complex and critical lifts, ensuring compliance with engineering calculations, safety rules, and international lifting standards (LOLER, BS, etc.).

  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety evaluations for all lifting activities.

  • Provide daily technical expertise on handling and lifting operations, including lift categorization and operational planning.

  • Perform condition checks and fitness‑for‑purpose assessments on lifting appliances, CCUs, rigging equipment, and related lifting accessories.

  • Ensure proper utilization, certification, and documentation of lifting equipment across yard and offshore vessels.

  • Support and advise HSE teams, Superintendents, and CSRs on lifting operations, safety expectations, and best practices.

  • Promote safe lifting operations in accordance with Company HSE policies and international standards.

  • Participate in internal audits of lifting operations and contribute to incident investigations and root‑cause analyses.

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining systematic documentation, processes, and competency assurance for lifting personnel.

  • Ensure flawless execution of handling and lifting activities during onshore construction and offshore installation phases.

  • Provide technical support to yard and vessel teams, ensuring continuous improvement in lifting operations.

  • Interface with multiple project entities and contractors to ensure alignment and safe execution of lifting activities.

  • Support project execution across onshore yards and offshore vessels as required by the SURF package schedule.

Profile

  • Minimum 10 years in the lifting & handling industry at supervisory level

  • Following OPITO certifications mandatory:

  • LCP (LOLER Competent Person),

  • Banksman Slinger OPITO Level 3 or 4,

  • Rigger OPITO Level 3 or 4,

  • Rigging Loft Management,

  • NSL LEI-6 Lifting Equipment Inspection,

  • Broad and extensive knowledge in handling & lifting appliance & operations

  • Working to International standards such as: BS, LOLER, ete .!

  • Experienced in Oil & Gas Industry

  • Worked in onshore & offshore operations

  • Have working profile such as: Rigger Rigger Foreman Rigging Supervisor Lifting Supervisor Lifting Superintendent

  • Risk assessment in relation to health, safety & environment

  • Supervision of critical and heavy lifts

  • Experience in training and coaching is preferred

  • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
