Commissioning Isolation Specialist - Electrical LOTO

COMMISSIONING ISOLATION SPECIALIST (ELECTRICAL)required by our Client, an Oil and Gas Operator, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Ensenada, Mexico.

POSITION SCOPE

The Isolation Specialist is primarily responsible for the oversight of the isolation for safe work that is implemented for work in new and existing facilities. This role will liaison between E&C, Operations, and Contractor to ensure isolation is performed adequately and in accordance with project and industry requirements. This position will assist with construction, (pre )commissioning and start-up activities

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Shall be familiar with Operations and LOTO process
  • Responsible for following the oversight of the isolation for safe work
  • Ensure isolation in the field is properly administered and controlled
  • Attend planning and SIMOPS meetings and provide feedback to the team and management on isolation management status
  • Ensure a tracking mechanism is in place to monitor the isolation status
  • Be capable of reading and interpreting project drawings to ensure proper isolation has been implemented
  • Will have to be capable of working days or nights depending on project requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties)
  • Have an excellent verbal and written communication skills
