Contract Duration: 5 months (renewable)
Work Scheme: Residential position
Language: Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage (French).

ROLE OVERVIEW AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Scaffolder Supervisor Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating scaffolding contractors to ensure that scaffolds are erected efficiently and safely for use by various contractors, including piping, E&I, coating/PFP, and others. This role requires strict adherence to HSE requirements and will report directly to the Construction Manager (TTE), in coordination with Areas Superintends. The coordinator will interface closely with scaffolding contractors and all other project contractors to facilitate seamless operations and effective communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and schedule scaffold erection activities to meet the requirements of multiple contractors on site.
  • Coordinate and supervise scaffolding contractors, ensuring all work is completed within project timelines and adheres to safety standards.
  • Maintain consistent communication with the Construction Manager (TTE), and Areas Superintends, scaffolding contractors, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate effective operations.
  • Monitor scaffold installation and dismantling processes to ensure full compliance with HSE requirements and regulations.
  • Facilitate interface meetings and resolve disputes between contractors regarding scaffold access and usage.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation related to scaffolding activities, inspections, and compliance records.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with scaffolding operations to ensure workplace safety.
  • Request and survey scaffolding modifications to ensure efficient use by all contractors.
  • Follow up and maintain traceability of scaffolds on site, documenting activities and identifying operations that may incur additional costs.
  • Maintain a daily report outlining the primary ongoing activities and key areas of concern.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Proven experience in scaffolding supervision or coordination within an industrial construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE requirements and industry best practices related to scaffolding.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage (French).
  • Relevant certifications in scaffolding and safety management preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Use of Microsoft Excel tool.
