Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance
MECHANICAL ENGINEER is required by our Client, to be assigned on a contract basis, located in Bangalore, India
STARTING DATE: ASAP
DURATION: One year (with possible extension)
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 15 years of mechanical maintenance experience in the oil and gas (onshore/offshore) or refinery or petrochemical chemical Industry.
- Experience in planning and execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, turnarounds, and shutdowns.
- Hands-on experience with static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pipelines, and storage tanks.
- Extensive knowledge of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and gearboxes.
- Experience conducting and supervising inspections using NDT techniques (e.g., UT, RT, PT).
- Familiarity with condition-based monitoring techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
- Proficiency in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) for:
- Planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities.
- Managing equipment history and work orders.
- Analyzing maintenance data to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Proven ability to manage mechanical maintenance projects, including equipment overhauls and modifications.
- Experience in reviewing engineering designs and specifications for compliance with standards.
- Deep understanding of HSE regulations and industry standards (API, ASME, ISO).
- Experience conducting risk assessments and participating in safety audits and incident investigations.
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.
