is seeking for an Aviation Development Analyst Intern F/M
As a global airport operator, VINCI Airports designs, builds, and operates more than 70 airports worldwide. By integrating current and future local challenges, VINCI Airports unlocks the potential of each airport while minimizing environmental impact and fostering sustainable aviation development.
Reporting to the Aeronautical Director, the Aeronautical Development Analyst Intern will work on a large array of key missions for VINCI Airports’ global development.
The main task will be focused on the following missions:
Aviation Market Intelligence
- Prepare and deliver detailed aviation market analyses, covering passenger segmentation, airline business models, aircraft types, and cargo flows.
- Provide technical expertise for specific analyses, such as the impact of aviation environmental taxes, low-cost carrier strategies, or fleet evolution.
- Identify, evaluate, and test aviation analytics tools and industry data platforms, working with experts and technology providers (Cirium, OAG, Diio, IATA…)
Traffic Forecasting
- Build long-term traffic forecast models at airport, city, and country levels, incorporating airline strategies, fleet evolution, environmental regulations, and macroeconomic drivers.
- Develop forecasts to support the Group’s technical team in terminal sizing and infrastructure investments.
Business Unit Support
- Develop business cases to support local route development teams
- Contribute to the Group’s transition to a data-driven aviation decision-making process, using Big Data to assess passenger profiles, airline schedules, fleet usage, and traffic flows.
Regulation, Competition and Industry Trends
- Environmental & Sustainability – Monitor new environmental taxes, SAF adoption, noise regulations, and emerging green technologies impacting aviation demand.
- Airport Charges & Taxes – Track changes in airport charges and passenger taxes, assessing effects on airline route and pricing strategies.
- Airline Competition – Follow new routes, M&A activity, market share shifts, and airline financial performance to identify opportunities and risks.
This position is designed for students with a strong interest in aviation. It offers a unique opportunity to contribute to international aviation projects and gain a 360° view of the airport business.
Profile
Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, or Air Transportation. A first experience in aviation is appreciated.
Fluent in French and English; other languages are a plus.
Passion for aviation, with a proactive, curious, and team-oriented mindset.
Rigorous and organized.
Knowledge of statistical and econometric models; comfortable with complex aviation datasets; excellent Excel skills.
Experience with Power BI / Tableau will be considered as a plus.
