Due to growth and operational requirements, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our operations team in Melbourne. Initially working on the recently awarded large project in the CBD.

Day to day activities include:

• Planning and managing allocated projects in accordance with client requirements, time and cost constraints to achieve profitable objectives
• Identifying, assessing and controlling project risks
• Preparation and reporting of project budgets
• Supervising and scheduling the activities of engineers and other site personnel
• Preparing and reporting on the project budget
• Stakeholder management including community and client liaison
• Identification, preparation, implementation, promotion and management of relevant Work Method Statements and Safe Work Method Statements in coordination with safety team         
• Lead the project team to achieve construction targets and budgets whilst maintaining a high level of safety and environmental practice
• Work with the Estimating team to develop construction plans and methodologies for tenders as required.

Skills and experience required:

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar position
• Bachelor of Engineering or its equivalent
• Experience in a CBD built environment
• Service relocation experience
• Civil Construction experience including shafts
• A proactive approach towards driving the project in order to achieve the objectives of the project
• Strong management and communication skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Demonstrable experience leading and maintaining a strong safety culture
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and provide recommendations on budgets and forecasts
• Design and Construct experience – preferable
• Experience in trenchless construction, micro-tunnelling and open cut trench projects - advantageous
