V.I.E - FINANCIAL CONTROLLER JAPAN (H/F)

Soletanche Bachy is a VINCI Group company specialized in foundations and soil technologies, including all types of structure: tunnels; airports, dams, rail and maritime structure and residential and industrial buildings. A global leader in its field, the company generates revenue of €2.3 billion, with approximately 80% coming from international operations. Present in nearly 50 countries, it employs around 10,000 people of more than 60 nationalities.

Based in Osaka, Japan, we are looking for a Financial Controller V.I.E who will report directly to the CFO for a renewable one-year assignment starting in early 2026. The V.I.E will be responsible for the cost control of a large-scale transportation infrastructure project. The work will be carried out mainly in Japanese (as well as in English and French for communication with teams and headquarters).

Responsibilities:

Management Control / Budget Control:

· Contribute to the reliability of analytical accounting.

· Analyze project results and support operational teams in cost optimization.

· Participate in monthly closings: lead the closing process, establish project provisions, and report results (group reporting).

· Improve existing processes and tools.

· Participate in Budgeting / Forecasting activities.

Accounting / Treasury:

· Prepare and record customer invoices.

· Monitor payments and support operational teams.

· Assist accounts payable with supplier invoice entry.

Qualifications

o Proficiency in Japanese is mandatory, along with fluency in English and French.

o Master’s degree in accounting or finance with 1+ year experience in the area, experience in construction industry is preferred.

o Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with an understanding of financial topics.

o Good communication skills to deal with teams from different cultures in Asia and Europe

o Proficient with digital tools (Excel), software, Power BI, power Query
