Actemium Automation Peterborough (part of VINCI Energies) is seeking a Senior Panel Wireperson to support the build, wiring and testing of industrial control panels for automation projects across manufacturing and process industries.
Key Responsibilities
Build and wire control panels and enclosures from electrical drawings and schedules.
Terminate, label and test components (PLCs, HMIs, MCCs, relays, motor starters, field wiring).
Carry out continuity, insulation and earth tests.
Support FATs and produce as‑built documentation.
Work with engineers and site teams to resolve technical issues.
Mentor junior wirepersons/apprentices.
Ensure safe working in workshop and site environments.
About You
Qualified electrician or similar (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, apprenticeship).
Experience wiring industrial control panels.
Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams and I/O lists.
Strong termination, cable management and testing skills.
Knowledge of electrical safety and BS/IEC standards.
Team‑focused with good communication skills.
Driving licence desirable; some site travel required.
Desirable: Experience with PLCs/HMIs (Schneider, Siemens, ABB, Rockwell) and involvement in FAT/SAT/commissioning.
