Site Engineer

Join Seymour Whyte on the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Upgrade Project, a major civil infrastructure project being delivered as a joint venture with John Holland, focused on enhancing the rail transport network between Beerburrum and Nambour on the Sunshine Coast.  Once complete, B2N will improve the North Coast Line, making travel faster and better connecting the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Brisbane.

We’re seeking Site Engineers to join our team and contribute to key works including new road overpasses, bridge replacements, expanded park-and-ride facilities and the removal of level crossings to enhance safety and connectivity.

About the role:

  • Support and ensure safety, quality and environmental standards on site.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with method statements and ITPs.
  • Manage daily field operations including team supervision, productivity tracking, cost control and estimating.
  • Oversee procurement processes and subcontractor management, including claims verification and adherence to governance requirements.
  • Identify and escalate risks affecting project delivery.
  • Keep up to date with company policies, legislation and industry best practices.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
  • Experience working on civil infrastructure projects, structural experience will be highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of safety legislation, Australian Standards and industry codes.
  • Strong planning, monitoring and reporting capabilities to support effective project delivery.
  • Commitment to quality, safety and environmental practices.

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
