Focus on Soletanche Bachy International – Major Projects

Within our Group, which is built around a network of local subsidiaries,Soletanche Bachy International is responsible for worldwide cross-functional activities.

The entity hosts the Major Projects Division, whose scope is global and which acquires and delivers major infrastructure projects with a strong geotechnical component, such as port facilities, metro systems, and dams. These projects may be carried out in partnership with a local subsidiary or independently, for example in countries where the Group does not have a permanent presence.

It also includes the Technical Department, which supports both the Major Projects Division and the network of subsidiaries through expertise in areas such as structural design, construction methods, materials, equipment, embedded software engineering, and data management and analytics.

Finally, it oversees theInternational Operations Hub, composed of a highly skilled and mobile workforce dedicated to construction sites. These teams are assigned to support either major projects or international subsidiaries, according to operational needs.

We are offering you the opportunity to join the Soletanche Bachy International - Major Projects team, based at our offices in Rueil-Malmaison (92, company headquarters), as a Business Developer for the Africa / Middle East region.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will contribute to the business development of the region and will be involved in the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct active market intelligence and contribute to business development initiatives to identify new growth opportunities.
• Promote the expertise and know-how of Soletanche Bachy International Major Projects to clients, project owners, and business partners.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts and help identify and secure future project opportunities.
• Meet with clients, prospects, and potential partners throughout the region.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry forums, and conferences.
• Define the business development strategy for the region in coordination with the Major Projects Management team.
• Contribute to the structuring of project teams and the establishment of partnerships required to secure new business opportunities.
• Ensure the implementation of the Group's QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment) standards.
• Comply with and promote the Group's ethics and compliance policies.

The role is based in Rueil-Malmaison, but requires mobility across the African continent and the Middle East.

• Master's degree (Bac+5) from a business school, engineering school, IAE, or university.
• With at least 10 years of experience in the international construction and civil engineering sector, you have developed strong expertise, ideally in marine structures and special foundations.
• Internationally minded and mobile, you thrive in multicultural environments and are willing to travel regularly to the Middle East and Africa (approximately one week per month).
• You are fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
• With excellent interpersonal skills, you are able to build long-lasting partnerships, influence stakeholders, and rally teams around your projects. Your results-driven mindset and entrepreneurial spirit are key assets for success in this role.
