JOB DIMENSIONS
- Assist and support the Construction Manager and the Commissioning Manager in supervising Contractors activities related to construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of the BOP and Core Plant facilities.
- Support the Piping Lead during construction phase and the PCC Piping Lead during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
- Review and supervise preparation activities related to leak tests, GALT, operational tests (OTs), and OTP preparation.
- Supervise piping pre-commissioning and commissioning activities at fabrication sites to ensure installations are delivered ready for operation within project schedule targets.
- Supervise Contractors’ Supervisors Teams throughout all project phases.
- Monitor and supervise leak tests, GALT activities, hydrotests, service tests, and Process OTPs during commissioning operations.
- Ensure all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project procedures and HSE requirements.
- Promote and enforce Project HSE instructions and policies across all construction and commissioning activities.
- Identify HSE deficiencies, proactively intervene when required, and report observations to the HSE department.
ACTIVITIES
PRE-COMMISSIONING / COMMISSIONING PREPARATION PHASE
- Review the preparation of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.
- Promote safety within commissioning activities and verify that safety procedures are implemented and followed by both CONTRACTOR and COMPANY personnel.
- Coordinate interfaces with other project entities, disciplines, and existing facilities (OSBL).
- Ensure that pre-commissioning and commissioning procedure lists are complete and comprehensive, including operational test procedures and leak test packs.
- Support planning activities to maximize commissioning efficiency and minimize delays caused by interfaces or operational constraints.
CONSTRUCTION / PRE-COMMISSIONING / COMMISSIONING EXECUTION PHASE
- Follow Contractors’ Piping-Process construction activities using OPERCOM® Methodology and ICAPS© software.
- Supervise Contractors’ Piping-Process pre-commissioning and commissioning activities using OPERCOM® Methodology and ICAPS© software.
- Monitor execution progress to ensure commissioning schedule completion targets are achieved.
- Supervise commissioning reporting activities and ensure all technical and contractual documentation is properly recorded, collected, and maintained in compliance with project policies and legal requirements.
- Control and follow up red-line mark-up drawings and associated documentation updates.
- Follow hydrotests, N2 leak tests, GALT activities, and service tests.
- Supervise final reinstatement activities related to process modules.
- Follow Vendors’ commissioning scope of work activities, including SATs, OTPs, document updates, punch list closure, and reporting activities.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
- Residential position based in France at a refinery fabrication yard.
- Activities executed in an industrial refinery environment requiring strict adherence to HSE procedures and site regulations.
- Work involves coordination with multicultural teams, contractors, vendors, and multiple disciplines.
- Remote work is not permitted.
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Ensure safe and efficient execution of piping construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Verify compliance with OPERCOM® methodology, ICAPS© processes, and applicable engineering codes and standards.
- Ensure commissioning procedures, test packs, and operational tests are properly prepared and executed.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree or equivalent in Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with OPERCOM®, ICAPS©, DCC, and relevant international codes and standards.
- Good computer literacy and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in complex and multicultural environments.
- Open-minded and team-oriented.
- Fluent in French (mandatory).
- English is an advantage.
