Financial Accountant

We are entering an exciting phase at Seymour Whyte with the implementation of SAP as our new ERP system, going live in January 2026. This change is a big step forward for our business, and we’re looking for a Financial Accountant who can play a key role in driving process improvements and supporting this transition. You’ll be joining a collaborative finance team that values autonomy, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, while working with a project team of technical experts to support us through this transition.

About the Role:
- Support month-end close processes, including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
- Drive process changes and efficiencies linked to SAP ERP implementation
- Prepare statutory financial statements and assist with external audit queries
- Provide guidance on compliance areas such as GST and FBT, including BAS returns
- Provide guidance and support to help team members grow and develop their skills
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Degree-qualified in Accounting or Business and CA/CPA qualified (or close to completion)
- Strong financial accounting background with experience in ERP systems (large-scale preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
- Advanced Excel skills and a continuous improvement mindset
- Strong communication skills and willingness to provide coaching and mentoring
