Join a landmark infrastructure project as a Senior Sustainability Advisor, that’s set to shape the future of Melbourne's transport network. This is an opportunity to be part of a team delivering critical civil works that will improve connectivity and create lasting benefits for the community. You'll be working in a collaborative environment alongside industry-leading experts, leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative methodologies.
About the role:
- Provide onsite sustainability support, including induction, training, mentoring, community engagement, and conducting inspections and audits to achieve compliance with the Sustainability Management Plan (SMP) and environmental requirements.
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies, report on project sustainability performance, and assist with external certifications and tender support.
- Review and ensure compliance with legal and client-specific requirements, including approvals, specifications, and sustainability-related plans.
- Coordinate sustainability data collection, perform compliance audits, and identify sustainability innovations to improve project outcomes.
- Foster positive team collaboration, provide sustainability-related advice to the project team and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community engagement.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Sustainability Engineering, Environmental Engineering/Science, or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the construction industry.
- Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) certification, with working knowledge of safety and environmental legislation, Australian Standards, and industry codes.
- Understanding of project scope, contractual procedures, and managing change, with GreenStar Accredited Professional (GSAP) certification considered highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current C-Class Driver’s licence.
