Pre-commissioning Electrical Inspector

PRE-COMMISSIONING ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR required by our Client to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Mexico.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases of projects. They are responsible for conducting thorough inspections, identifying, and addressing non-conformances, and maintaining accurate documentation.

  • Project Oversight:
    • Demonstrate good understanding of Brownfield and Greenfield projects.
    • Monitor pre-commissioning progress against project requirements.
    • Identify potential schedule delays and recommend mitigation actions.
    • Contribute to the sign-off process of pre-commissioning task sheets.
    • Interface and communicate effectively with construction teams to optimize schedules.
    • Ensure system Clients are assigned and that punching, hold, and witness points are consistently applied.
  • Inspection and Compliance:
    • Conduct thorough inspections of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
    • Verify compliance with company HSE procedures, standards, and project schedules.
    • Monitor the proper succession of pre-commissioning and commissioning sequences.
    • Follow established procedures for EasyPlant database preparation.
    • Verify pre-commissioning and commissioning files and corresponding dossiers.
    • Monitor progress of pre-commissioning activities and report findings.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Submit weekly reports to superiors and prepare special reports as required.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive inspection records.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Assist commissioning teams with commissioning and handover activities.
    • Review generated reports and provide support and guidance as needed.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Carry out any other duties or tasks assigned by superiors.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control or inspection in Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Strong understanding of pre-commissioning and commissioning processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
