We’re transforming the Eastern Freeway with major works that will make travel smoother, safer, and more connected across the east. From significant engineering milestones to community-focused design, this is a project where your contribution will make a real impact. This on site role will be based in Kew.

We’re seeking a Project Engineer (Structures) with strong technical expertise in structural design, analysis, and construction. You’ll bring hands-on experience delivering complex civil projects involving bridges, retaining walls, and other structural elements, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency while collaborating closely with design, civil, and site teams. Beyond technical ability, we value those who communicate clearly, listen actively, and build positive, solutions-focused relationships. ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Coordinate and manage design, procurement, and construction activities to deliver works safely, on time, and within budget.
• Oversee quality, commercial, and contract compliance, including variations, procurement systems, and cost forecasting.
• Support construction delivery through technical reviews, development of construction documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, driving capability development, performance, and effective collaboration across teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and community stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and high standards of performance.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent
• Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure constructions projects for state authorities
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Current C-Class Driver’s License
