Traffic Supervisor (Night Shift)

Be part of the Eastern Freeway – Hoddle to Burke Alliance and help deliver one of Melbourne’s most exciting transport upgrades. We’re transforming the Eastern Freeway with major works that will make travel smoother, safer, and more connected across the east. From significant engineering milestones to community-focused design, this is a project where your contribution will make a real impact. 

The primary objective of this position is to provide project support for the development and implementation of trqaffic management strategies, maintain safety and quality assurance of traffic management subcontractors and assist in improving in house technical knowledge and capabilities. This position will be on a fixed term basis for the duration of the project (end of 2027) and will be working on a night shift roster.

About the role:

  • Ensure all traffic management measures are planned, implemented and maintained in accordance with best practice, including all relevant safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the temporary traffic management designs inclusive of general arrangement and detailed design drawings, which comply with relevant standards.
  • Review projects are obtaining all necessary approvals and permits as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of toolbox talks and training and awareness programs relative to the role.

skills and experience Required:

  • Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure construction projects.
  • Formal qualifications relating to traffic management implementation and audit
  • Significant experience in civil construction traffic supervision, preferably in a principal contractor environment or traffic control contractor
  • Current C-Class Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to work night shift
