Senior PDMS Piping Designer (Client Side - 2328)

We are currently recruiting for a Senior PDMS Piping Designer. This is an embedded opportunity, supporting one of our key clients within the Nuclear Industry.

Location wise, this is a hybrid opportunity, working from the client's office at Birchwood Park, a minimum of 3 days per week. 

Please note the ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance is essential, uplifted to SC prior to a start. 

Role Description:

  • The PDMS/E3D piping designer will be able to carry out the following activities on specific areas within the plant.
  • Design of installable-piped systems / plant layouts that can be safely operated and maintained.
  • Design of pipe supports.
  • Ensuring all relevant standards, instructions and specifications are applied.
  • Interfacing with other disciplines to ensure optimised design.
  • Production of various deliverables e.g. Isometrics, general arrangements, support details.
  • Checking of other designers’ deliverables.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be an experienced PDMS/E3D user, particularly in piping and the production of automated isometric drawings from the 3D model.
  • Ideally hold over 10 years’ experience of piping design working within a highly regulated industry, 3 of which must have been gained within the nuclear industry.
  • To be fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry guides and standards relating to this discipline.
  • It would also be an advantage to be familiar with the relevant Sellafield Limited Standards.
  • Ideally the candidate should have sufficient familiarity / experience of the following tools; PDMS, E3D, Navisworks Freedom Viewer, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.).
