WeareseekinganexperiencedSeniorProjectManager/SectorLead to join our leadership team, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of water industry automation projectswhilstleadinganddevelopingateamofProjectManagersandEngineers.Thisisastrategicleadershiprolethatcombinesoperationaldelivery,teammanagement,customerengagementandbusinessdevelopment.

TheOpportunity

AsaSeniorProjectManager/SectorLead,youwillleadthedeliveryofPLC,SCADAandindustrialautomationprojectsacrosswaterandwastewatertreatmentfacilities,pumpingstations,reservoirsandnetworkinfrastructure.

You will overseeateamresponsiblefordeliveringcomplexcontrolsystemprojectsthroughouttheprojectlifecycle,ensuringprojectsaredeliveredsafely,ontime,withinbudgetandtothehighestqualitystandards.

Youwillalsoactasasectorspecialist,developinglong-termrelationshipswithwaterutilitycustomers,identifyingopportunitieswithinAMPprogrammesandcontributingtothestrategicdirectionoftheBusinessUnit.

KeyResponsibilities

Leadership&TeamManagement

• Lead,coachanddevelopateamofProjectManagersandEngineers.

• Manageperformancereviews,developmentplans,trainingrequirementsandregular1-2-1meetings.

• Supportrecruitmentactivitiesandworkforceplanningwithinthesector.

• Promoteastrongcultureofsafety,wellbeingandenvironmentalresponsibility.

• WorkcloselywiththeBusinessUnitManagerandwiderleadershipteamtosupportbusinessobjectives.

• ProvideleadershipsupportandcoverfortheBusinessUnitManagerwhenrequired.

ProjectDelivery

• Leadthesuccessfuldeliveryofautomationandcontrolsystemprojectsacrossthewaterandwastewatersector.

• Ensureprojectsaredeliveredsafely,ontime,withinbudgetandinaccordancewithcustomerspecifications.

• Overseeprojectplanning,resourceallocation,riskmanagementanddeliveryperformance.

• Reviewprojectdesigns,quotationsandtechnicalsolutions.

• Coordinateresourcesacrossmultipleprojectsandprojectteams.

• Drivecontinuousimprovementthroughprojectreviewsandlessonslearned.

Commercial&BusinessDevelopment

• Developandstrengthenrelationshipswithkeywaterindustrycustomersandframeworkpartners.

• Identifyopportunitiesforfutureprojects,upgradesandassetimprovementprogrammes.

• Supportbusinessdevelopmentactivities,accountmanagementandtendersubmissions.

• Reviewandsupportthepreparationofquotationsandcommercialproposals.

• Demonstratestrongcommercialawarenessthroughcontractreview,negotiationandsubcontractormanagement.

• Ensure projects are administered and delivered in accordance with NEC contract requirements, supporting effective commercial management and successful customer outcomes.

• Supportthedevelopmentandimplementationofengineeringstandardsandbestpractices.

EssentialExperience

• Significantexperiencewithinsystemintegration,industrialautomationorcontrolsystemsengineering.

• ProvenexperiencedeliveringprojectswithintheUKwaterandwastewaterindustry.

• StrongunderstandingofPLC,SCADAandtelemetrysystems.

• Demonstrableleadershipexperiencemanagingprojectteamsandtechnicalresources.

• Strongunderstandingofthefullprojectlifecyclefromconceptthroughtocommissioningandhandover.

• Experiencepreparingandreviewingtechnicalquotationsandprojectscopes.

• Strongsubcontractor,stakeholderandcustomermanagementexperience.

• Commercialawarenesswithexperiencemanagingcontracts,budgetsandprojectprofitability.

• Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts within engineering, utilities, infrastructure or water industry projects.
