Safety Coordinator

The Perth Entertainment and Sporting Precinct will transform the Burswood Peninsula into Western Australia’s premier destination for sport, music and community events. Featuring Perth’s first outdoor amphitheatre, landscaped parklands and multi-use tracks, this iconic project will create a vibrant space for festivals, cycling, motorsport and more. Parking is available on site and it has very convenient links to public transport, so access is not an issue.

As a Safety Coordinator on this project, you’ll play an important role in keeping our people safe every day. You’ll support the Project Safety Manager and wider project team to maintain strong safety systems, help identify and control hazards, and contribute to a culture where everyone feels confident to speak up. This is a great opportunity to build your safety career on a legacy project while working with experienced leaders who value collaboration and new ideas.

About the role:

  • Supporting the implementation and maintenance of site safety systems and documentation
  • Assisting with routine site inspections, audits and PPE checks
  • Recording findings and helping track corrective actions to completion
  • Helping investigate incidents and near misses, including preparing reports
  • Maintaining safety registers, training records and compliance documentation

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety
  • Early career experience in construction or civil safety
  • Strong communication skills with confidence engaging site personnel
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with safety reporting systems and a willingness to learn

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
