Key Accountabilities

We are currently seeking enthusiastic candidates to join our inaugural Health Physics Trainee program. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the field of radiation protection, environmental monitoring, and health physics in our state-of-the-art facilities. Our 3 month training course based in Harwell will ensure the successful candidates will gain qualifications and experience to be deployed to one of our UK based clients  Nuclear Licensed Sites.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting radiological surveys and environmental monitoring to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Learn and apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to radiation in the workplace and surrounding environment.
- Support the maintenance and calibration of radiation detection equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
- Participate in the development and implementation of radiation safety programs and procedures to safeguard personnel and the public.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals to gain practical skills in radiation dose assessment and control measures.

Requirements & Experience:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and ethical conduct.
- Ability to adapt to varying work environments and work effectively under the guidance of experienced professionals.

-          Undertake a medical to become a classified radiation worker.

-          Obtain appropriate security clearance.

-          Enter contamination and radiation-controlled areas and wear PPE/RPE
