As an Estimator in our Central Pre-Con Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in securing projects that shape Australia’s infrastructure. From bridges to complex civil works, your expertise will help us deliver accurate, competitive tenders that win. You’ll collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and clients to develop innovative solutions and ensure every bid reflects Seymour Whyte’s commitment to safety, quality, and value.

About the role:

• Prepare accurate tenders for civil structures projects up to $200M
• Analyse quantities, costs, and identify discrepancies in schedules
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Provide technical input and innovative construction methodologies
• Attend site inspections and client briefings for tender preparation

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Proficiency in Expert Estimation, Excel, MS Project, and Asta
• Proven experience delivering winning tenders in civil infrastructure
• Strong time management and ability to handle multiple projects
• Collaborative mindset with entrepreneurial approach to opportunities

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
