Design Engineer

Join a landmark infrastructure project as a Design Engineer who’s set to shape the future of Melbourne's transport network. This is an opportunity to be part of a team delivering critical civil works that will improve connectivity and create lasting benefits for the community. You'll be working in a collaborative environment alongside industry-leading experts, leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative methodologies.
About the role:
- Support project teams by ensuring effective design management and clear communication throughout tender preparation and project delivery phases.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of design management plans, ensuring all design deliverables are completed on time and meet project specifications.
- Collaborate with the team to review designs, address scope changes, and ensure appropriate integration of cost, time, and methodology considerations.
- Monitor and report the progress of design work, ensuring compliance with the Design Management Plan and project quality standards.
- Support the identification and management of project risks and opportunities, ensuring budgets and contracts are reviewed and maintained.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- A Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Civil), Degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent Civil Engineering qualification.
- Registration as a Chartered Professional Engineer status (CPEng) is advantageous.
- Prior practical construction site experience is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
