Verifications Officer

We are seeking a Verifications Officer to join our Quality Assurance team on the Eastern Freeway – Hoddle to Burke Alliance. The primary objective of this position is to independently verify that construction activities comply with approved design, standards, specifications, and ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) - key for ensuring timely completion of the Eastern Freeway – Hoddle to Burke Alliance scheduled for 2028.
About the role:
- Conduct routine surveillance on site activities
- Conduct formal verification inspections at Hold/ Witness Points as per ITPs
- Review work against design drawings, specifications, and relevant standards (e.g. VicRoads, Austroads, Project Requirements Specification)
- Identify early signs of quality or procedural issues and report them
- Maintain detailed records, photos, and verification checklists
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience as a quality assurance professional for engineering and/or civil construction
- Minimum 3–5 years of construction experience in quality or verification roles
- Working knowledge of client standards and specifications
- Sound knowledge of ITPs, construction specifications, and testing requirements
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical documents
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Current C-Class Driver’s Licence
