Head of Structures and Delivery
Job Description:
To provide leadership in the Kelvin Power’s structure function and to provide project oversight on procurement and delivery of the structures for the business.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Including but not limited to the following:
• To lead the procurement services function within Kelvin Power and Vinci Energies in Transmission and Distribution Domain.
• To own the profit and loss account for the Kelvin Power Structure and ensure a continuous growth year on year (turnover, client portfolio, and operating profit) and ensure we can maintain a safe and compliant business.
• To define the strategy for a product business (identification of key markets, securing work, supply-chain strategy).
• To ensure the procurement and management of the projects in the structure business follows the agreed IMS process.
• To manage the relationship with supply-chain (fabricators), co-ordinate the internal design interface and coordinate site visits for inspection, quality control, and checks on product supplied to the clients.
• To lead client engagements, lead on developing the proposals, winning work and delivering projects and to empower team-members to assist in growing the business.
• To hold the responsibility of management of a portfolio of projects within Kelvin Power and to maximise the revenue, and margin (E-result).
Qualifications and experience
• Experience of managing a team.
• Ability to train and mentor more junior members of the team.
• Experience of SHEQ processes in a product line business.
• Experience of whole project process from fee proposals and concept design to project completion strong technical ability with in-depth experience of designing in all main materials.
• Client facing with strong communication and relationship building skills.
• Passion for business development.
• Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen.
