Learning and Development Advisor
18/03/2026We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development Advisor to support the design, coordination, and delivery of learning and development activity across the organisation.
You will play a key role in embedding our competency framework into people management processes, improving employee reviews, identifying learning needs, and delivering effective development interventions that build capability and support retention.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Coordinating and improving induction, probation and annual performance reviews
- Identifying learning needs and analysing people data to inform development activity
- Designing and coordinating technical, behavioural, leadership and compliance training
- Managing the training calendar and recording all learning interventions
- Supporting e-learning platforms (e.g. Vinci UP, SB Learning) and HR learning administration
- Contributing to the development of a coaching culture and individual development pathways
- Supporting talent identification through the People Review process
- Coordinating and delivering early careers programmes, including apprentices and placements
- Liaising with FE providers and supporting training grant claims
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications required:
- Construction / Civil Engineering L&D experience
- An understanding of the ICE scheme
- Strong understanding of learning and development frameworks and competency-based development
- Ability to analyse people data and translate insight into practical learning solutions
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage employees at all levels
- High attention to detail and strong administrative discipline
- Knowledge of PowerBI, SharePoint & Advanced level Excel
- Industry experience of Ground Engineering – Piling & Foundations experience (Desirable)
